Recycling Light Bulbs

No longer working lights:

Some lights contain mercury, such as Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFL), and need to be disposed of properly and not in landfills.  The EPA has a great locator tool for free recycling services for may types of lights by zip code.

There are also many regional services that help with light bulb drop off, which include LED lights not in the EPA locator service.  Please check out your local municipality website for services in your area.
